Story
NAFA is a non-profit NGO based in Brisbane, Queensland but comprising members from all over Australia. We have been operating since 1989 and are totally volunteer-run and have no office and no paid staff. Executive members from our NGO go to Nepal annually at their own expense to assess and monitor projects supported by NAFA.
100% of donations made on this website go to NAFA then direct to Nepal. At present, our focus is on the rebuild of community infrastructure e.g. schools, a health clinic, water infrastructure, agricultural cooperative infrastructure in nine remote villages destroyed by the devastating earthquakes in April and May 2015.

Nepal Australia Friendship Association (NAFA) is a volunteer run, non-profit, non-religious organisation dedicated to supporting disadvantaged individuals and communities in Nepal by funding one-off and multi-year health, education, economic development and other village infrastructure development.
100% of donations and fundraising proceeds go directly to NAFA supported projects in Nepal.
NAFA’s current focus is funding the rebuild of remote village infrastructure destroyed or badly damaged by the earthquakes of April and May 2015.
